Dr Annabel DSouza Sekar , MBBS, MBA, DBA (Switzerland) - CEO                                                         

Dr Annabel DSouza Sekar has done her MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore following which she pursued her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) specialising in Finance. She then did her Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Zurich, Switzerland and her area of specialisation is “Quality Systems in Healthcare and their role and implementation in developing countries”. She has a 20-year old career in hospitals and has had career assignments at some of the leading healthcare institutes in India. Among them were Apollo Speciality Hospitals and Terumo Penpol Limited, the Indian subsidiary of Terumo Corporation, Japan.

Dr DSouza Sekar is registered as a Consultant with the National Board for Quality Promotion (NBQP), a constituent Board of the Quality Council of India. She provides consulting services for accreditation of hospitals and healthcare organisations (NABH) primarily in South India. Prior to consulting, she has been an assessor for the NABH.

She is also a senior member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) in healthcare. In addition, she is a trained ISO auditor.

Dr T V Sekar, MS, FRCS - Consultant

Dr T V Sekar is a Senior Surgical Gastroenterologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon at Apollo Speciality Hospital, Madurai. He has more than 30 years of clinical experience. After his MBBS and MS from the Madurai Medical College, he worked with the Indian Railways as Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in General Surgery for 8 years. This was followed by a 10 year work experience in the United Kingdom wherein he received training in Surgical Gastroenterology and also got his FRCS.  

At AAHANA, he supports the clinical processes for NABH projects. He also provides guidance for the documentation and training for the NABH projects.

Mrs Prema Rajaram, MA (Psychology), MPhil (Sociology) - Head, Projects

Mrs Prema Rajaram heads the projects division of AAHANA with respect to NABH and NABET. She has more than 15 years of work experience, more than 10 years of which was at Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Madurai as the Health Scan Counsellor where she was involved with counselling patients with regard to Lifestyle Management. 

At AAHANA, she heads all projects with regard to hospitals as well as educational institutions. She is primarily involved with the documentation processes and their implementation. Her responsibilities involve ensuring the preparation of all levels of documentation by the organisations in keeping with the accreditation standards and requirements. Also, she follows up on the proper implementation of standards, policies and procedures by the respective organisations.

Mrs Sara Rani, DMLT - Documentation

Mrs Sara Rani has more than 11 years of experience as a Laboratory Technologist. She has rich experience in all the aspects of Laboratory Services with regard to the application of NABL standards.  Her primary responsibilities are documentation and review of NABH projects as well as documentation and implementation for NABL projects.
