Dr Annabel DSouza Sekar
MBBS, MBA, DBA (Switzerland) - CEO
Dr Annabel DSouza Sekar has done her MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore following which she pursued her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) specialising in Finance. She then did her Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Zurich, Switzerland and her area of specialisation is “Quality Systems in Healthcare and their role and implementation in developing countries”. She has had career assignments at some of the leading healthcare institutes in India. Among them were Apollo Speciality Hospitals and Terumo Penpol. In her last assignment she was the head of the laboratory services as well as quality department at the Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre, Madurai.
She is a senior member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). She is also a Lean Six Sigma black belt in healthcare. In addition, she is a trained ISO auditor, a NABH assessor and NABH faculty member.
Prof Venkatesh Thuppil
PhD - Principal Advisor
Prof Venkatesh Thuppil is popularly known as the “Lead Man of India” for his pioneering work on lead poisoning. He was responsible for the introduction of unleaded fuel in India as well as introduction of lead-free paints. He is the Director of the National Referral Centre for Lead Poisoning in India (NRCLPI).
He is the Principal Advisor to the Quality Council of India (QCI) and a Principal Assessor for NABH, NABCB and NRBPT. He is also a Lead Assessor of NABL and a technical committee member for the NABL. He is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, St John’s Medical College, Bangalore. He is a consultant to the South East Asian countries for accreditation. Prof Thuppil is a visiting scholar at the University of Cincinnati (USA), Boston Medical School (USA) and Zubeita University (Bolivia). He is a recipient of the Arya Bhatta award for Medicine.
Dr C V Anand

Dr C V Anand is the Professor and Head of the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore. Dr Anand is an empanelled Technical Assessor in Clinical Biochemistry in medical testing laboratories. He is also the Chief Quality Manager at PSG Hospitals Diagnostic Centre. Dr Anand is also a past member of the Board of Studies Post Graduate (Pre-Clinical) of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, a member of the LIC of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. In addition, he is a founder member of the Inter Laboratory Quality Assurance of Bangalore, a highly successful external quality control programme, consisting of about 20 laboratories of Bangalore city, being in operation since 2001.
Mr N Shashidhara
Advisor, NABET, Lead Poisoning
Mr Shashidhara is the Advisor, National Referral Centre for Lead Poisoning in India at St John's Medical College Bangalore and Educational Consultant (NABET- QCI). He is specially trained and qualified in the area of Science Communication from New School of Social Research and New York Institute of Technology, NY USA. He has vast experience in designing exhibits, training materials, organising programmes & evaluation in the area of Health, Education & Industries. He is currently engaged in conducting programmes throughout India in LEADer (Lead Educator), Lead Awareness programmes in Educational Sector, Health Sector and Industrial Sector. He is also the recipient of Rotary International Award to study abroad.
Dr T V Sekar
MS, FRCS- NABH
Dr T V Sekar has more than 30 years of clinical experience and is a Senior Consultant in Surgical Gastroenterology and Laparoscopic Surgery at the Apollo Speciality Hospitals - Madurai, a NABH accredited hospital. After his MBBS and MS from Madurai Medical College, he worked with the Indian Railways as an Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in General Surgery for 8 years. This was followed by a 10 year experience in the United Kingdom wherein he received his FRCS. At Apollo, apart from heading the Gastroenterology department, he is also a faculty for the DNB programme in Surgery. Dr T V Sekar is actively involved with NABH related activities at Apollo Madurai and is a member of the various committees with respect to NABH documentation and implementation. As a passion, Dr T V Sekar also supports a charitable hospital in his native village where he provides his services at no cost to the poor and needy patients.
Mr. Anoop Mahajan

Anoop Mahajan has done his Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toledo, USA and is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Six Sigma Green Belt. He is also a senior member of the American Society of Quality (ASQ). Anoop has worked over 9 years in the North American, Indian and European industry in the field of health care and manufacturing as a process improvement expert. He has successfully applied lean and six sigma principles in the health care industry and was able to show significant improvements in patient care, hospital revenues and other key metrics. He has recently returned to India and is keen to use his knowledge and experience to help the health care providers in India.
Dr Arjun Sekar
MBBS - Junior Consultant
Dr Arjun Sekar has completed his MBBS from the Manipal College of Medical Sciences at Pokhara, Nepal. He has a keen passion on Quality for Healthcare and the impact it has on the real world scenario. He is contributing author for research in “Significance of Oculocardiac Reflex in lowering blood pressure' under guidance of Dr Varun and Dr H.S.Joshi which was published in Kathmandu Medical Journal. An important aspect Dr Arjun Sekar’s education has been the exposure he has had to training and thus, gaining experience with a number of international organisation. Some of them are - INF (International Nepal Fellowship) - experience was gained in treating leprosy and also in managing spinal cord injury and common dermatological conditions. GONESA (Good Neighbour Service Association) – supported by an Italian organization, he gained experience in in treating women and children specifically from deprived sections of society.
